The SCT2450 is a fully integrated synonous step-down converter supporting up to 5A continuous output current. The wide input voltage, ranging from 3.8V to 36V with transient tolerance up to 38V, eases input surge protection design. The device offers adjustable switching frequency ranging from 100kHz to 1.1MHz, which provides flexibility to optimize efficiency, or reduce external component size, according to application requirements. It can be synonized to external clock with frequency ranging from 100kHz to 1.1MHz. The SCT2450 adopts peak current mode control seamless transitions between Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Pulse Skipping Mode (PSM), which ensures superior transient response. The quiescent current is 25μA in sleep-mode, supporting applications requiring high efficiency at light load. The device can achieve 70.5% efficiency at 5mA load. The SCT2450 allows power conversion from high input voltage to low output voltage with a minimum 100ns on-time of high-side MOSFET. It also supports LDO mode with low dropout from input to output. The SCT2450 is a EMI friendly device featuring with Frequency Spread Spectrum (FSS). This is an EMI friendly device featuring with Frequency Spread Spectrum (FSS). The device has built-in protections including cycle-by-cycle current limit, hiccup protection at over current, thermal shutdown protection, output over-voltage protection input voltage under-voltage protection. The SCT2450 is available in an 8-pin thermally enhanced SOP-8 package.
